At CranCam, innovation meets experience. Founded in 2024 by Phil, CranCam was born from decades of hands-on expertise in commercial and industrial electronics, camera systems, and precision engineering.
Building on the trusted legacy of Crantech, founded by Phil who handed over the reigns to son and co-owner Glenn, Crantech is Perth’s most respected names in RIDGID repair services.
CranCam continues the tradition of quality craftsmanship while exploring new frontiers in underwater and aerial technology.
Our Story
With over 60 years of experience, Phil has dedicated his career to the design, repair, and development of advanced imaging and inspection systems. His meticulous attention to detail and deep technical knowledge earned Phil a reputation as an industry leader in camera repairs and system servicing throughout the decades.
Phil founded Cranmill Technologies, after retiring from the Oil & Gas Industry, because he identified a need in the Plumbing industry. Later becoming CranTech when he expanded with his son, Glenn, Crantech has grown to be one of the most trusted service businesses in the RIDGID repair industry in Perth, Western Australia, as a consequence of his management and technical skills.
In 2024, Phil passed the torch to Glenn to focus on a lifelong passion— underwater cameras, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), drones, and specialised camera systems—and thus, CranCam was created.
Our Expertise
CranCam draws on a unique foundation of underwater camera repair, drain and sewer inspection camera servicing, and the design and servicing of underwater electrical components such as slip rings and cables—both dry and submersible.
Phil’s diverse experience in underwater electronics has also seen him collaborate with key Australian institutions, including the Department of Defence and the Department of Fisheries, on the development of camera systems and Camera Control Units (CCUs).
